One Life to Live

-Drama One Life to Live began in 1968 as a half-hour serial, than soon changed to forty-five minutes and, eventually, an hour. Created by Agnes Nixon, One Life to Live began its existence as a controversial day time soap opera, the likes of which had never been seen on day time television previously. One Life to Live takes place in the fictional town of Llanview, Pennsylvania and focuses on a number of wealthy families.

Biography

Christina Mae Chambers, who was born on October 24, 1969, in Alexandria, Virginia, grew up in a family of academics. She admitted that she was a tomboy at heart and that she was never really conscious about how she looked. Chambers studied Shakespeare at The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. and spent a semester in Stratford on Avon, spending some time with the Royal Shakespeare Company and performing on productions such as King Lear and Romeo and Juliet. She later ventured into modeling and acting for television, appearing on series such as Sunset Beach, As the World Turns and most recently, One Life to Live.

Marty Saybrooke is played by Christina Mae Chambers in One Life to Live. Marty, who was born to the wealthy David and Samantha Saybrooke, is the sole heiress of the Saybrooke fortune. She grew up to be a troubled woman who resorts to excessive drinking to get attention. She once got involved with Todd Manning, whom she slept with once. He tried to pursue her but she pushed him away, thus Todd got mad. Along with his fraternity brothers, he raped Marty and eventually gets arrested.
