On
One Life to Live, Ilene Kristen's Roxy is busy building a romantic connection with Miles (
David Chisum). While there has been some flirting between the two characters, Kristen said that, at this point, she is uncertain if the relationship will reach a deeper level.
“I think [there will be love between Roxy and Miles], but I've got to tell you, I don't really know because we're shooting a lot out of sequence,” Kristen told
Soap Opera Weekly. “I've shot some stuff, but it's hard to say where it's exactly going.”

While Roxy finds herself in the early stages of a romance, Ilene Kristen recently came to the end of hers, having split up with fellow actor Brian Sheridan.
“It was a very amicable split-up. We could get back together again. But right now, we're living apart,” Kristen, who had been engaged to Sheridan, said. “It's very bittersweet to me, because I really care about him. And as I said before, it was totally mutual. We couldn't seemingly figure out certain things. It's difficult.”
As "difficult" as it was, the break-up was for the best, as Kristen said she needs to focus her time and energy on taking care of her personal issues, and not be preoccupied with someone else's.
“I need to reflect on myself right now. I think it's important right now to be alone, almost. I rather like it at the moment,” she explained. “I don't want to settle for a situation where I'm more concerned about what this human being's future is than they are about mine, basically.”
That said, the
One Life to Live actress is planning to spend the new year working on her career, both in television and the music industry.
“I think I've got some storyline coming up,” she told
Soap Opera Weekly. “I seem to be working a lot more over the next couple of months. I have a new songwriting partner, so that's rather nice. We've already created one song, which is a really good jazz song.”
