There's a whole bunch of news coming from Once Upon a Time these days. Not only will a favorite recurring character from season 1 return, but there are some new ladies possibly joining the fairy tale. Keep reading for the details!

Emilie de Ravin Promoted to Series Regular

Despite being such a prominent character throughout much of Once Upon a Time season 1, Belle (Emilie de Ravin) was a recurring role appearing in only three episodes. That will not be the case when season 2 begins this fall. TVLine reports that Emilie de Ravin's role will be upgraded to a series regular for Once Upon a Time season 2.

Considering where the show left us at the end of the season 1 finale, this isn't much of a shock. Finally reunited with her beloved Rumplestiltskin/Mr. Gold in Storybrooke, Belle was with him when the magical creature unleashed magic into the world. We would expect to see more of the girl unless Gold's actions were more deadly than expected.

De Ravin's full-time return to Once Upon a Time season 2 was questionable throughout the pilot season. The actress had committed to an ABC pilot, Americana, which ended up not being picked up for the fall. Thus, Beauty was free to pursue her Beast once more.

Emilie de Ravin marks the second casting upgrade for Once Upon a Time season 2. As previously reported, Meghan Ory (Little Red Riding Hood/Ruby) will also be a regular cast member in the upcoming year.

Could There Be More Princesses?

Once Upon a Time loves its "princess" characters. And, considering the fairy-tale source material (and the rather obvious Disney influences), that's not much of a shock. We've already met Cinderella, Snow White and Beauty... And now Once Upon a Time season 2 may be adding to the princess count.

EOnline reports that producers are creating and casting two new princess parts for the second season. One is a possibly spoiled, definitely rich girl by the name of Anastasia. The second is Magnolia, who is more of the active-princess type. We can expect this princess -- described as a "cool badass Asian chick" (think Mulan) -- to have more interest in horses and fighting than in ballgowns.

No actresses have been cast yet, but be sure to check back here for more Once Upon a Time news!
