Once Upon a Time brings another new fairy tale story to life tonight on "Tallahassee" when Jorge Garcia shows up as the Giant at the top of the beanstalk.

In last Sunday's episode, Hook offered Emma and Snow help in their quest to return to  Storybrooke through a magical compass. In order to acquire the compass, they have to climb to the top of the beanstalk, overcome the Giant up top, and find the compass.

I had the opportunity to speak with the charming Jorge Garcia on the phone about his time playing the Giant on Once Upon a Time

Are you excited for your episode to air this week?

I am. Definitely. We shot in a full green screen studio, so just to see how it all comes together is definitely something I'm curious about. There is a lot you have to do on faith. This was a full green screen studio with a few practical pieces. I've never done anything that was that completely green.

How did the role of the Giant come about?

Eddy [Kitsis] and Adam [Horowitz], whenever we'd see each other, we'd talk about how to find a way to bring me on Once Upon a Time. They pitched me the idea about a Giant and I thought that was a pretty inspired idea for me to play. And, so I was up for it immediately.

What is the Giant's costume like?

It's awesome. it's definitely the most extravagant costume I've ever worn for anything. It's essentially ... ropes. It's a big kind of flowing rope thing. It has a lot of different bangles and things that hang off of it. It's really cool looking. It's worn and tattered too. It's like I've been wearing it a long time.

Why is the Giant on the beanstalk? Is Jack around?

We don't see [Jack] in this episode. We know he's a giant at the top of the beanstalk, that kinda places the story that we are jumping from but in the Once Upon a Time fashion, the details aren't necessarily how you would expect them to be.

As a Giant, will you try to eat Emma or Hook?

That's a curious question. ...  I haven't had to eat anyone so far on the show.

Will we see the Giant again?

So far, I've shot one episode. I'll be going back in a month to shoot another.
