Numb3rs DVDIn case you haven't heard, Numb3rs – The Third Season DVD has already been released earlier this month.  Fans can now grab a copy of the much awaited set and relive last season's episodes that posed much challenge to FBI Special Agent Don Eppes and his mathematical genius brother Charlie.

Read on to find out what's in store in the Season 3 DVD.

Broadcast on CBS, Numb3rs is a police procedural series that uses mathematics as a way to catch criminals and solve crimes.  Beyond its interesting approach to the crime drama formula, the show also equally focuses on the relationships between Don Eppes (Rob Morrow), his math genius brother Charlie Eppes (David Krumholtz) and their father Alan Eppes (Judd Hirsch).  While the two brothers take on the most confounding criminal cases from a very distinctive perspective, their father fears that their competitive nature will soon lead to trouble.

The season 3 DVD set consists of 6 discs with widescreen video and audio that is available both in English 2.0 and English 5.1 versions.  In addition to the 24 episodes of season 3, the set includes exclusive special features that are spread out over discs four, five and six.

All discs except for four have at least one episode commentary available.  Nevertheless, the fourth disc has a featurette entitled "Crunching NUMB3RS: Season 3" that looks at the significance of the third season on the series and the various ways the show changed.  Another highlight of the set is the featurette called "Eppes Central" which is contained in the fifth disc and showcases the house used as the Eppes home and why they had to recreate the home on a sound stage.  As for the final disc, its special features include a tour of the set of the house and a blooper reel.

Meanwhile, fans can catch a new episode of Numb3rs every Friday at 10pm ET/PT.
