When we last saw
Numb3rs, Charlie's (
David Krumholtz) “math block” had caused major disruption in some of the FBI's cases. But with Colby's (
Dylan Bruno) help, Charlie breaks through and overcomes the block and helped his FBI agent brother Don (
Rob Morrow) catch a serial rapist who was using his position as a police officer to lure his victims.
In “Black Swan,” Don and the team invade an inner-city illegal drug operation. On the other hand, Don, on instinct alone, arrests a bystander who is later discovered to be plotting a more illicit scheme than anyone at first realized.
According to show exec producer Cheryl Heuton, Charlie will soon undergo FBI training at Quantico following several recent brushes with danger. There is also a case about academic freedom versus national security that causes a sharp split between the Eppes brothers.
"There are things he likes about it and things that are tough for him," Heuton revealed.
Numb3rs also stars
Judd Hirsch as Alan Eppes,
Alimi Ballard as David Sinclair,
Peter MacNicol as Larry Fleinhart,
Diane Farr as Megan Reeves, and
Navi Rawat as Amita Ramanujan.
Guests appearing on tonight's installment include Jacob Fishel as Isaac "Izzy" Meechum, James Harvey Ward as Joshua Quigley, Steven C. Gibbons as Bernard Laiken and Mike Peebler as Douglas.
Fans can catch a new episode of
Numb3rs every Friday at 10pm ET/PT on CBS.
