Numb3rs
I, like a majority of Americans, do not find math “cool. In fact, there is not one place on Earth that finds math cool. I say this not because I'm anti-math; I recognize it's necessity. I say this because when I want to be entertained, numbers do no enter into the equation (pun intended). Numb3rs is a show in which an FBI agent and his brother catch criminals by using mathematical formulas. Of course, as is the CBS way, the production values of the show are Bruckheimer-esque and the math is presented in a “cool way. Which is misleading, because math sucks. Numb3rs is targeted at the too-smart-for-CSI-but-still-in-the-market-for-superficial-entertainment crowd which, apparently, is a pretty large subset. The cast is very good, especially the secondary characters; Judd Hirsch is the man and I'm an unabashed fan of Navi Rawat.
