CBS' triumph last week was partly due to the Rob Morrow- and David Krumholtz-led Numb3rs, which led the 10pm time slot with a 6.3/11.

Speaking of David Krumholtz, who plays math whiz Charlie Eppes on Numb3rs, the 29-year old New Yorker recently found himself in very distinguished company.  Krumholtz had the esteemed task of introducing the keynote speaker at the recently held Sixth Annual Nobel Laureate Dinner.  The black-tie affair was held last November 19 at the Getty Center and was attended by some 240 guests.

Hosted by the University of California and the Consulate General of Sweden in Los Angeles, the event honored the 11 attending Nobel Laureates of more than a hundred Californians who have been awarded the Swedish honor since 1901.  It also showcased both math and science projects, at a reception presented by 18 high school students from the University of California's California State Summer School for Mathematics and Science, or COSMOS.

In related news, the Numb3rs star is also busy wrapping up the film, Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay.  The movie is a follow-up to 2004's quirky burger-seeking misadventure, Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle.  Krumholtz plays the part of Goldstein alongside returning stars John Cho as Harold Lee and Kal Penn as Kumar Patel.  Neil Patrick Harris is also back as his eerily creepy self.  Harold & Kumar Escape from Guantanamo Bay is scheduled for release April next year.
