Melanie Paxson's Biography:

Melanie Paxson was born on September 26, 1972 in Illinois. She is a graduate of the University of Missouri-Columbia with a degree in Theater Performance. When Paxson was in Chicago, she got the chance to work with the Steppenwolf Theatre Company. Although she has done impressive work as a television commercial actress, she has also been seen on different television shows like The Drew Carey Show, Pyramid and NBC’s Happy Family, where she played a starring role. She also appeared on the made-for-television movie Behind the Camera: The Unauthorized Story of the Three’s Company. Paxson is currently working on another starring role in the ABC sitcom, Notes from the Underbelly.

Julie, on the sitcom Notes from the Underbelly, is played by Melanie Paxson. Julie is ecstatic upon learning that she and her husband, Eric, are expecting their first baby. In her excitement, she becomes obnoxious and somewhat of a know-it-all, and it’s driving their friends Andrew and Lauren, who are also expecting but have decided to keep it a secret, insane.
