Born on February 2, 1970, Jennifer Westfeldt attended Guilford High School and graduated from Yale. After completing her education, she performed in numerous stage productions. Her most prominent theater performance was in the Broadway revival of “Wonderful Town,” for which she won a 2004 Theater World Award. Her exposure to theater eventually led her to attend a writer’s boot camp, which prompted her to write scripts for plays, movies and television shows. She also graced the television circuit with shows like
Holding the Baby, Snoops and
Judging Amy, and worked in movies like
How to Lose Your Lover and
Keep Your Distance.
On the show
Notes from the Underbelly, Westfeldt stars as Lauren. Her inclusion on the show gives her the opportunity to hone her comedic expertise. She portrays the wife of Andrew who is expecting her first child. Apart from her charming persona, what get the viewers hooked are her antics in keeping her pregnancy a secret from her friends and family. Entertainingly funny, she enlivens the plot with her cheery and vivacious presence.
