Last Tuesday,
Nip/Tuck aired its season ender, at least for the first part of season 5 since there are still eight remaining episodes to air in fall. The controversial medical drama averaged just under 3 million total viewers, making the episode “Candy Richards” the least-watched finale of the series in its five-season history, according to Nielsen Media Research.
While many viewers were pleased with the ender, some were disappointed given that it left many cliffhangers.

I can't wait either and it would make more sense to show the remaining episodes in the summer because there...
In the finale, tragedy hit the McNamara/Troy family after Julia learned what has caused her ill health. Christian slept with the legless mother of his daughter, who had slept with his son. Sean got stabbed by his stalking-stuffer ex-agent while operating on his own daughter, who'd been injured in a paparazzi-related car crash, and gunshot victim Julia woke up from a coma with retrograde amnesia. This installment featured guest stars such as Coolidge (Candy Richards), Portia de Rossi (Olivia Lord), Sharon Gless (Colleen Rose), and AnnaLynne McCord (Eden Lord).
Among all the season enders,
Nip/Tuck's most-watched finale is still the third season's “Quentin Costa” episode, which was fueled by the carver serial killer story line. This installment earned about 5.7 million total viewers.
Meanwhile, FX, the FOX-owned entertainment channel, is launching a multimillion-pound ad campaign to promote the new series of the U.S. show,

Trainspotting campaign.
Nip/Tuck stars
Dylan Walsh as Sean McNamara,
Joely Richardson as Julia McNamara,
John Hensley as Matt McNamara,
Julian McMahon as Christian Troy,
Kelly Carlson as Kimber Henry, and
Roma Maffia as Liz Cruz.
