Brooke Shields Finds New Life on Nip/Tuck
Brooke Shields Finds New Life on Nip/Tuck
Brooke Shields, now entrenched in what is likely the twilight of her career, currently finds herself playing the best role she's ever had. Never known for her acting chops, Shields is turning heads with her layered performance as Dr. Faith Wolper on Nip/Tuck. Wolper is Christian Troy's new psychiatrist who puts forth the theory that Christian may, in fact, be gay. Shortly after telling him about her suspicion, they have sex.
In the raciest role of her career, Shields has surprised many with her daring yet subtle portrayal of the sex-addicted psychiatrist. Nip/Tuck has made a name for itself as of late with its cadre of guest stars (like Rosie O'Donnell) playing against type. Brooke Shields has always been followed by a stigma of prudishness. Her appearance on Nip/Tuck may be a case of too little/too late in turning that stigma around, but at least now we can all see what potential the classic beauty has had all along. -Oscar Dahl, BuddyTV Senior Writer
