'Nikita' Recap: Partners Are Overrated
On tonight's episode of Nikita, Nikita (Maggie Q) goes on a mission to rescue her former Division partner while Alex (Lyndsy Fonseca) is also in pursuit.

Top 5 Moments

Nikita and Kelly vs. Alex and Roan: Once Nikita learns that her former Division partner Kelly is still alive and trapped in a foreign country, Nikita plans a rescue op. When Amanda (Melinda Clarke) gets the same information, she decides to send Alex after Kelly in the hope that Nikita will also be there.

Amanda assigns Roan (Rob Stewart) to the op as well and orders him to "clean things up" once Kelly is found. This leads to many intense actions sequences, including a very cool fight on a moving train.

Alex's actions come back to haunt her: Sergei Semak, the man who killed Alex's father, orders Ari Tasarov (the man in charge of Gogol) to find the assassin who killed Kochenko, the man Alex killed in the previous episode. Still following?

As it turns out, Ari has an agent tracking Nikita in an attempt to find the black box she and Michael stole, and that agent is Kelly. Once Ari learns that the assassin who killed Kochenko is also pursuing Nikita, he orders Kelly to locate the black box and capture the assassin (aka Alex).

Amanda seeks Percy's help: Amanda knows Kochenko's murder is going to cause problems, so she asks Percy (Xander Berkeley) if he has anything that might help her deal with the situation. Eventually Percy tells Amanda that a few of Nikolai Udinov's men are still out there and they may be willing to help Alex reclaim her birthright from Semak.

During their conversation, Percy says he knows that Amanda is helping Alex only so she can replace Semak with "one of her own" and Amanda admits that she believes Alex will be generous to those who help her acquire her father's empire. We now have some understanding of Amanda's motives, but why is Percy willing to help Alex take down Semak? Does he think Alex will turn on Amanda once she has power of her own, or is there more to it than that?

Nikita has to choose between partners: At one point Kelly gets her hands on Alex and Nikita has to kill Kelly in order to save Alex's life. Once Alex is safe, Nikita asks her to leave Division behind and come on the run with herself and Michael (Shane West). Now that Gogol is after her for killing Kochenko, Alex says she will be safer at Division and she can use Division's resources to take down Semak once and for all.

Despite everything that has gone on between them, Alex covers for Michael and Nikita so they can escape and Michael believes it is a sign that Alex will come around, in time. Would you like to see Alex choose Nikita over Division or do you think things are more interesting with Alex and Nikita on opposite sides?

The truth is out: The episode ends with Semak learning the identity of the assassin. Ari tells Semak that the assassin is none other than Alexandra Udinov, the supposedly deceased daughter of the man he killed.

Semak says that there are certain people in his organization who would support Alex and demand that Semak give her the empire if they learned she was still alive, so Semak tells Ari that they have to kill Alex before that happens. Will Amanda stay true to her word and protect Alex from Semak or will Nikita have to step in?

On the next episode of Nikita, someone from Michael's past returns and his emotional involvement may get in the way of the mission.
