Sitting across from So You Think You Can Dance head judge Nigel Lythgoe, one feels a need to sit up straighter and gesticulate more gracefully. After five season's of So You Think You Can Dance Nigel has the air of a judge and you can't help but worry that his watchful eyes are deducting points for poor posture.

Just as season 6's auditions were getting started I spent a few minutes with Nigel chatting about So You Think You Can Dance. With that wonderful, warm British accent of his Nigel told me about his thoughts on season 6, why the distinction between America's favorite dancer vs. America's best dancer was made, what we can expect from the Top 20 introduction show, and this season's new permanent judge, Adam Shankman.
