As the narrator of
Newport Harbor,
Chrissy Schwartz has often been compared to
Lauren Conrad, who catapulted to stardom with her exposure on docu-drama shows like
Laguna Beach and
The Hills. However, the 18-year-old reality star would rather be under the shadows of Conrad's
Hills co-star and rival
Heidi Montag.
When asked by E! who would she choose if she could raid any one of
The Hills girls' closets, Schwartz opted to go for Montag instead of Conrad, who now has her own line of clothes and handbags.
“I would probably choose to raid Heidi's closet because she dresses really in style and always looks amazing,” the
Newport Harbor star said of Montag, who also her clothing line called Heidiwood.
Ever since she was cast on
Newport Harbor, Schwartz has been under the public watch, but her popularity hasn't deterred her from staying true to her California style.
“I make sure I dress casual but cute, in jeans and a cute T-shirt maybe. Guys like when a girl can look good without dressing up because it shows she is not high maintenance,” she said. “My True Religion jeans, my Juicy sweats and my Neutrogena Whisper lip gloss [are the three items I can't live without.]”
On the other hand, Schwartz hasn't always been a trendsetter when it comes to fashion as there were also times in the past when she wore some embarrassing outfits.
“It would have to be when I lost a bet to my friends and they dressed me up in neon tights and a T-shirt covered with ugly flowers. They did my hair and makeup all crazy and then I had to knock on my hot classmate's door and ask if he wanted to buy some lemonade. He thought I was really weird after that,” she said.
