Wednesday, January 09, 2008

newport harborLast week, MTV's Newport Harbor: Home for the Holidays concluded its 4-episode run.  The teens of Orange County started the season with drama surrounding their newfound college life and new love interests, and ended the season with hope as some of them rekindled with their old flames.

Read on for a recap of the fourth episode of the Newport Harbor: Home for the Holidays special “All I Want for Christmas.”

Chrissy Schwartz and Sasha are already home in time for Christmas.  During a game of tennis, Sasha learns that Chrissy hasn't been in contact with Clay Adler.  Chrissy admits that she can't bear the thought of seeing him with other girls and this leads her to realize that she's made a big mistake with Clay.

Elsewhere, Grant Newman meets up with Clay at his boat and Clay tells him that he didn't talk to Chrissy at all ate the party.  Grant mentions what he observed during the party and that he saw her looking over at Clay through out the night.  Given that his feelings for Chrissy aren't completely gone, Clay needs some time to think about everything, but also wishes that Chrissy would just let him know how she feels.

As for Allie Stockton, she takes Samantha on a tour of her new home and realizes that a party needs to be thrown.  They come up with a 1920s themed party, which set to commence this upcoming weekend.

Chrissy calls Billy to tell him that she won't be able to visit him in San Jose because she has some “things to take care of” but assures a worried Billy that everything is alright.  She later joins Sasha as she walks her dog and they discuss about Allie's party.  Chrissy admits that Billy is now officially out of the picture.

The night of Allie's party comes, which is also Chrissy's big night to talk to Clay.  Chrissy and Clay's conversation starts off awkward but Chrissy eventually admits feeling jealous when he's with another girl and that Billy was never anything like him.  After Chrissy put her heart on her sleeve, Clay isn't sure how to respond and so the former couple walk away from each other in yet another awkward state.

The next morning, Chrissy and Sasha meet up for breakfast.  Chrissy is disappointed by how thing went with Clay at the party and feels that she needs to prove to him that she really wants him back. Clay, on the other hand, is encouraged by Grant to have some “Christmas spirit” and give Chrissy another chance.

At the beach, Kylie asks Chase Cornwell when he's moving up to Santa Barbara and tells him that they're relationship will be different when he moves there.  However, she doesn't want to speed things up in their relationship.

Chrissy is shown decorating Clay's boat for the holidays.  She leaves a note at his door asking him to meet her at his beach house for a surprise.  Clay meets her later and she tells him that she wants to talk to him in private, instead of the usual party setting.  Chrissy assures Clay that she's over Billy and apologizes for her mistake.  She also gives him a gift, a USC sweatshirt, and tells him that she's transferring there next semester so she can be closer to home.  Last but not the least, Chrissy shows him his boat, which she decorated with Christmas lights.  Chrissy and Clay take the boat out for a cruise, and finally kiss and make up.
