'Newport Harbor' Returns "Home For the Holidays" Tonight
Wednesday, December 12, 2007

newport harborAfter two months of waiting, MTV takes viewers back to Newport Beach, California to experience the drama and catch up with Chrissy Schwartz, Clay Adler, Allie Stockton, Grant Newman, Chase Cornwell, Taylor Geiney and Sasha Dunlap as they return home to celebrate the holidays.  Fans can catch four new episodes of Newport Harbor: Home For The Holidays premiering tonight at 10:30pm ET/PT.

This much awaited reunion will shed light on the cast as they deal with new rivalries, love triangles and more family drama.

Within the next few episodes, fans will finally learn if absence makes the heart grow fonder or if first love is easy to forget for Chrissy, who decided to make her long-distance relationship with Clay work and who heads home to Newport since leaving for college.

Meanwhile, Chase has moved on from his erratic relationship with Taylor, and jumped into a new romance with Kylie, Chrissy's sorority sister.

As for Allie, she comes back from Europe trying to make way her in the big city of Los Angeles as she attempts to forge a new independence.

For those who are not familiar, Newport Beach serves as the replacement show of MTV's Laguna Beach, which aired three seasons from 2004 to 2006.  Similar to its predecessor, it's a reality series that documents the lives of several teenagers in a traditional narrative approach.

The show made its debut in August, introducing a group of young people living in Newport Beach, California and attending Newport Harbor High School.  The first season followed their adventures as they make friends, spark new attractions, suffer heartbreaks and compete for the affection of the same love, while dealing with typical high school issues.  It was the most watched program in its time period among viewers ages 12-34 across all of cable, with over 37 million total viewers during the entire 8-episode run.

What do you think will happen to Chrissy and Clay’s relationship?
It won’t work out
They’ll breakup but reconcile again
They’ll remain friends
They’ll be mortal enemies
They’ll live happily ever after
