While some reality stars have to struggle to keep their television careers afloat, some actually manage to ride the cruel tidal waves of reality stardom. In fact, a handful have successfully transitioned from reality TV to real stage or film performing.
American Idol alums have been known to pursue their musical careers on and offstage, while reality dating series alums have gone to lead lives in the spotlight as socialites or plain public figures fighting for health causes.
As for the more eccentric reality stars such as
Tila Tequila,
Ambre Lake (
Rock of Love) and
Flava Flav, they come up with various ways to stay in the limelight. There's modeling, acting and music production for these multitalented individuals. As for Tiffany Pollard of
I Love New York, she has set her eyes on only one thing—an acting career.
Following her double stint on
I Love New York seasons one and two, Tiffany Pollard opted to further her career by taking on scripted filmmaking. In fact, the aspiring actress wanted us audiences to join her on the ride to fame. Her newest reality series (and fifth, to keep count) focuses on the 26-year-old reality star as she heads to Hollywood and tries out for various roles to play in scripted television or film.
For fans who would still want a glimpse of
I Love New York 2's winner, Tailor Made, VH1 promises that they would see him again, despite reports revealing that he and New York are no longer together.
People reported last month that New York and Tailor Made “broke up during the filming of New York Goes Hollywood. The whole drama went down with our cameras rolling and will play out for the audience.”
The source added that despite being broken up, the two pretended to be together for the sake of the show, adding that “They had an understanding because he has respect for Tiffany.”
Catch New York as she comes back to our television screens with
New York Goes to Hollywood tonight at 10pm on VH1.
