It’s time for another joint operation on NCIS in “React,” as both Joe Spano and Leslie Hope return as Senior FBI Agent T.C. Fornell and Secretary of the Navy Sarah Porter, respectively.

In this episode, the Secretary of the Navy’s daughter is kidnapped, and the NCIS team partners with the FBI to track the case, figure out the motive and bring her home. Plus, McGee’s childhood friend is the NCIS Special Agent, Valerie Page, in town to help the team with advance tactics training.

Watch the promo for “React”:

It begins with the kidnapping, and Porter knows that her daughter was targeted because of who she is. She wants to pay the ransom, but it looks like everything goes wrong at the drop — and Gibbs is once again injured on the job.

Check out a sneak peek of Tony and Bishop meeting McGee’s friend:

Bishop is surprised when McGee doesn’t have a coffee for Gibbs when he joins her and Tony, but as they remind her, this is for a mandatory course — and Gibbs doesn’t do mandatory. Tony wonders if their boss has the right idea; he thinks he can even teach the class.

When a member of the REACT team joins them in the garage, McGee discovers it’s his childhood friend (and Tony finds out his middle name). They were Navy brats together.

Watch Fornell’s headache get worse:

As the team joins Fornell at the crime scene, he sees the possibility of his morning getting a bit better with McGee’s cup of coffee — only, it’s not coffee. Herbal tea isn’t going to help, so he orders an FBI agent to get rid of it.

Here’s what they know about the case: at 7:50am, a neighbor saw Porter’s daughter and a friend forced into a black SUV by armed assailants. Both of their phones are off, so their only hope of tracking them that way is if Abby can turn them on remotely. It’s too soon to hear from the kidnappers. Plus, considering Porter is the Secretary of the Navy, it’s not going to be easy to narrow down a list of suspects.

NCIS season 13 airs Tuesdays at 8pm on CBS.

If it’s on TV — especially if it’s a procedural or superhero show — chances are Meredith watches it. She has a love for all things fiction, starting from a young age with ER and The X-Files on the small screen and the Nancy Drew books. Arrow kicked off the Arrowverse and her true passion for all things heroes. She’s enjoyed getting into the minds of serial killers since Criminal Minds, so it should be no surprise that her latest obsession is Prodigal Son.
