'NCIS' Fan Columnist: Putting the Focus on Pauley Perrette
Pauley Perrette is all that!

Perrette is a woman of many talents. Sure she's awesome as Abby Sciuto on NCIS. But she has abilities in other areas as well.

Pauley's written and performed her own music. She's had books of poetry published. Been a photographer and a writer. She produces and directs. What can't this gal do?

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

When I say she performs music I don't just mean she's in a band that occasionally plays for giggles. No, I mean she's making serious music.

Pauley produces and is lead singer of the Punk/Pop/Rock/Alternative group, 'Stop Making Friends'. The lyrics to the songs are Perrette's. Check out 'Camouflage' and 'Lately' written and sung by Pauley. The song, 'Fear' is on NCIS: The Official TV Soundtrack.

Can you believe adorable and effervescent Abby is 41?  Shall we sing the praises of middle-aged women? Pauley just celebrated her birthday, March 27. She was born in New Orleans in 1969. Perrette has lived in, (take a big breath), Georgia, Alabama, Tennessee, North Carolina, South Carolina, New York, New Jersey, and currently in Los Angeles, California. Whew.

NCIS isn't Perrette's only gig. According to The Examiner, she has a thriller I Am Bad nearing completion and the horror flick Satan Hates You being released this year. Pauley is also executive producer and director of the documentary Citizen Lane. She appears in the film as herself along with actors Mark Lane, Steve Jaffe and activist, actor and comedian Dick Gregory.

Pauley's latest film is the documentary Transcendental Man about the life of American inventor and futurist Raymond Kurzweil. Mr. Kurzweil's fields of endeavor include optical character recognition (OCR), text-to-speech synthesis, speech recognition technology, and electronic keyboard instruments. The film was screened at the Tribeca Film Festival and the American Film Institute AFI film festival.

There is one thing Pauley wants to make very clear to fans ...

She is not on Twitter or Facebook or any other social networking site. She shot a video of herself to explain

I had no idea how hard it is for a person to have a bogus account removed. I think her exasperation is more than justified.

Pauley did many things before she landed on NCIS.

She tended bar in New York. Perrette told Craig Ferguson that she taught herself how to mix drinks by reading everything she could find. She started making commercials because she needed the money for school.

She told Ferguson that her life has come full circle. Pauley graduated with honors receiving her Master's Degree in Criminology. Now she evaluates evidence on NCIS.

Pauley Perrette is a woman with a mission. Her goal is to do as much good as she can.

She married her long time boyfriend Michael Bosman on Valentine's Day 2009. Instead of gifts the couple requested donations to the charities they support. Amongst these were the American Red Cross, the Amanda Foundation, Habitat For Humanity, Project Angel Food and the Hollywood United Methodist Church where they were married.

Perrette is much more than a TV star on a top rated show. She's ambitious, caring and gifted. She has more on her mind than pigtails.

She's all that, with or without a bag of chips.
