NCIS was making the scene in Los Angeles.

The Paley Center for Media, named for television pioneer William S. Paley, welcomed the cast of NCIS for Paleyfest 2010. The Paley Center offers a venue for discussions on the social impact of television, radio and other platforms.

Present on that March 1 evening were Mark Harmon (Leroy Jethro Gibbs), Michael Weatherly (Tony DiNozzo), Sean Murray (Tim McGee), Cote de Pablo (Ziva David), David McCallum (Dr. Donald 'Ducky' Mallard), Rocky Carroll (Director Leon Vance) and Brian Dietzen (Jimmy Palmer). Pauley Perrette (Abby Sciuto) had a previous commitment but was there in life-sized cardboard cutout form on the arm of Weatherly.

A ticket to the Paley Center is a tough one to get hold of. You have to be quick and you have to be early to get a seat in the audience. You might get a chance to ask a question of the cast and the creators.

We picked up a few nuggets of gold relating to the number one scripted show.

The rumor that Gibbs may have his days numbered was squelched by Harmon.

"I have no plans to leave. I have a contract with significant more time on it. But that may not stop the producers from getting rid of me if they think that best serves the story or the show. But I have no plans to take myself out of the game," he said.

NCIS without Gibbs, someone give me a head slap quick!

So what's going on with Gibbs' love life?

"Whatever [fans may be] thinking, they're wrong, it is never the obvious on this show. As always, these writers make you think something but it is almost never what you think will happen. I think it is good to keep people guessing, especially after seven years," was Harmon's comment.

I guess he would know.

"I think it is time for us to see these people away from their job and with their girlfriends or family. It is time to let out some of those nuggets. We've earned them. They come for the procedure but now we have earned the right to break off another piece of the puzzle," Harmon offered.

So what does this mean for the NCIS team? Will Tony get together with Ziva? Will McGee get a girlfriend and will it be Abby? Argh, information please!

I wish I had an answer to the above questions but no luck, sorry.

Here are a few items that you may or may not find interesting.

Jimmy Palmer was a one-day gig for actor Brian Dietzen. He must have done well because they kept asking him back week after week. If you were thinking that DiNozzo and Palmer are the light version of Gibbs and Ducky then you're right according to Dietzen.

Tony DiNozzo might not be too anxious to be the boyfriend of Ziva says Michael Weatherly. What would an all American boy like DiNozzo want with a sociopath girlfriend like Ziva. He was quick to pint out that Tony might be a little immature but Ziva killed people for a living. Weatherly added that many of the characters met their demise with a bullet to the head. He didn't want Tony to go down that road.

Ziva David had a VERY good time in Paris according to Cote de Pablo. She said she had one opinion about the trip and Michael Weatherly had another. Just like Tony and Ziva they don't seem to agree.

Our thoughts were with Cote the day of the Chilean earthquake. She was in Switzerland doing promotion for the show when it hit. She was able to reach her father to find out that her family was safe.

Leon Vance had an adversarial role when he became the Director of NCIS. But Rocky Carroll comments that things stay the same, which can lull you into a sense of security and then the writers will make a change. Carroll also mentioned the return of Ziva's father is in the future. Looking forward to that.

Tim McGee loves Tony DiNozzo no matter how big a jerk he is, Sean Murray stated. They have a kind of big brother, little brother sibling hazing thing going on that Murray likes.

Abby Sciuto and Ziva David on a stakeout together? Cote thinks it would be a blast and says that she and Pauley Perrette have pitched the idea to the writers numerous times. She hopes fans will back them on the idea and persuade the writers to create a script.

Here are two more revelations from Monday night.

 1) An NCIS themed board game is due this summer. Fans solve the crimes while portraying their favorite NCIS characters. Cool!

2) An NCIS iPhone application is coming soon. Cooler!

Thanks for sharing the wealth folks.
