NCIS season 10 continues on Tuesday, January 29 with an episode "Hit and Run." Judging by the preview videos, it looks like this one could end up as a favorite for Abby fans.

Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.

First up, let's take a look at the official synopsis of the episode:

The NCIS team investigates a Marine's car accident and ignites some upsetting past memories for Abby as a young girl on the trail of her first "case."

Intrigued already? I know I am.

In the preview video for the episode, we see that Abby's is going to apparently be going through a lot in this episode. Her first case still haunts her and she tells Gibbs that she made a mistake. Is she talking about back then or are her old memories causing her enough grief that she's making errors on their current case? Gibbs tells Abby he needs her to bring her "A" game, which might suggest that this case is hitting her pretty hard.

In the first sneak peek video from the episode; we see more evidence of how hard this case will affect Abby. She and McGee are inspecting a car belonging to their latest victim when the sigh of the windshield triggers an old memory.

Here are a few more things we know from the clip:

  • McGee is the most helpful person when it comes to clipboard-y types of situations.
  • The damage to the car in their latest case looks exactly like the damage from little Abby's first case.
  • Abby has always had an interesting way at looking at cases, even when she was a little girl.
  • We not only get to meet little Abby in this episode, but her little brother, too!

In the second preview for the episode, we find Tony, McGee, Gibbs and Ziva working in the bullpen. Well, at least McGee, Ziva and Gibbs are working; Tony is...well, the truth is I have no clue what Tony is doing. Other than making an idiot of himself, that is.

Here are a few more things we know from the clip:

  • A simple glare from Gibbs is still, as always, enough to get Tony stop whatever shenanigans he's up to.
  • McGee seems overly concerned when he finds out that Abby doesn't appear to have any ideas about their current case.
  • Their case will have a Hatfield vs. McCoy feel to it.
  • Tony wants to take the McCoy in their case, and leave the Hatfield for Gibbs to handle.

What do you think after learning more about this episode of NCIS? Got any theories on what happened during Abby's first case when she was a little girl? Do you think Tony's shenanigans are going to earn him a Gibbs slap at some point in the episode?

NCIS airs on Tuesday nights at 8pm on CBS.
