narutoAfter the successful release of Naruto Volume 18 in September, which has been included in USA Today's list of bestselling books, Viz Media is also in high hopes with the release of its DVD version, which is expected to hit the stores on Tuesday, November 27.

Broadcast on Cartoon Network, Naruto centers on a young ninja named Naruto Uzumaki, who is determined to become the greatest ninja of all time. As the series progresses, this mischievous lad with a fierce desire for attention has immensely honed his fighting skills, along with various characters like Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno, and Kakashi Hatake.

Inside the Naruto Volume 18 DVD, fans can enjoy watching Naruto as his training with Jiraiya intensifies, while Orochimaru uses threats to drive a legendary kunoichi into helping him.  Fans will learn how her tragic past will affect Naruto's future in this DVD set, which includes episodes 69 to 72 such as “Village in Distress: A New A-Ranked Mission!,” “A Shirker's Call to Action: Layabout No More!,” “An Unrivaled Match: Hokage Battle Royale!,” and “A Mistake from the Past: A Face Revealed!”

Tagged as “An Unrivaled Match,” Naruto Volume 18 features the Hidden Leaf Village under a full-scale attack while Naruto embarks on the trail of the Sand Ninja.  Meanwhile, the Third Hokage is taking on his former student Orochimaru who has mastered the fiercest fighting form of them all.

Just like other previous chapters, the Naruto Volume 18 promises to infuse the fighting world of ninjas with the mysticism of ancient spirits.

This compilation is edited for North American TV and is about 88 minutes long with closed caption features for the hearing impaired.

In the meantime, fans can catch back-to-back episodes of Naruto every Saturday on Cartoon Network's Toonami from 9pm to 10pm.
