This Saturday's episode of Naruto kicks off with the episode “For a Friend” in which Kakashi learns the truth about the chase after Sasuke and Naruto realizes that he always wanted to be friends with Sasuke.  This installment will be followed by "A Plea From a Friend" where Naruto and Sasuke continue their face off.

In “For a Friend,” Kakashi discovers the truth about the chase after Sasuke, and orders his dogs, including Pakkun, to go search for Naruto and Sasuke.  Kakashi then notices Sakura standing behind him and he remembers when Sasuke and Naruto last fought on the roof of the hospital and how he wanted those two to stop before they killed each other.

Meanwhile, Naruto and Sasuke are continuing their bout.  A number of flashbacks occur, showing Sasuke and Naruto as little kids.  Naruto explains that when he first met Sasuke he was happy to find somebody alone like just like him and he really wanted to talk to him. But Sasuke never said anything.  Eventually, he thought of Sasuke as his rival.

The next episode, "A Plea From a Friend," opens with a bang as a huge explosion comes from Naruto.  He proves to be too much for Sasuke to handle.  Amidst the fight, Naruto asserts his friendship to Sasuke and explains to him why he's not let him go to Orochimaru.  Finally recognizing Naruto's strength, Sasuke puts on his forehead protector, symbolizing both as equals. But when Sasuke's Sharingan is upgraded to level 3, the tables turn on Naruto.  Hope appears to be lost for Naruto, though he soon undergoes an unexpected transformation.  But will it be enough?
