In commemoration of the launch of the video game Naruto: Ninja Destiny for the Nintendo DS, Naruto Nintendo Games has come up with a sketching competition that allows fans to showcase their artistic skills.  The contest, which runs from April 1 until the end of the month, invites fans to draw an original ninja animal that they would like to include in the next Naruto video game.

Those who are interested to join must take note that only one entry per person is allowed.  Along with the sketch of the animal, participants must also include a complete description of the animal's signature jutsu.  Artwork can be submitted online or by mail and are expected to be received by no later than 11:59pm on April 30 for emailed entries, and postmarked no later than 11:59pm on April 25 for mailed entries.  Details about the mailing address and other instructions are posted on Naruto's Nintendo Game site.

After all the entries are received, a select panel of judges will choose five finalists.  The drawings of the finalists will be uploaded to Naruto's Nintendo Game website, where visitors may vote for their favorite artwork.  Obviously, the artwork with the most number of votes will be announced as the winner, while the remaining finalists will be announced as the four runner-ups.

Unfortunately (and ironically), the winning entry will not be included in any of the future Naruto games. Nevertheless, the grand prize winner's work and profile will be included and recognized in an upcoming issue of Shonen Jump Magazine and on the Ninja Academy website.  Moreover, the winner will get a Nintendo DS Lite, a copy of Naruto: Ninja Destiny and other goodies.

Meanwhile, fans can watch back-to-back episodes of Naruto every Saturday at 9pm on Cartoon Network.  This week, viewers can enjoy "The Enemy of Byakugan" and "The Dark Creeping Clouds," which follows Naruto as he tries to defeat a weaker Raiga.
