Taking a Closer Look at 'My Own Worst Enemy'
A few days ago on one of our Fall 2008 Previews, we gave you a peek into NBC’s newest sci-fi suspense offering, My Own Worst Enemy, which stars Christian Slater in a plot that delves into the life of two very different men.  The twist?  The two men own one body.  Christian Slater plays Henry Spivey, a typical family man living a comfortable life in the suburbs.  Unbeknownst to Henry, he has a dual personality, which forces him to share his body with alter ego Edward Albright, a skilled government agent who can speak several languages and literally kick a--!  Complications arise, though, when their lives get tangled up in each other.

My Own Worst Enemy, which hits television screens come October 13 at 10pm, is created by Jason Smilovi, who brought us the equally astonishing Kidnapped.  Joining Smilovi as executive producer and director is David Semel, who previously worked on American Dreams and pilots for Heroes and Life, and John Eisendrath, who was recently named as executive producer and showrunner.

Now that the airing date draws nearer, production is busy smoothing out the casting procedures, adding some familiar names into the mix.  We recently reported that Madchen Amick, who is best known for her stint on Twin Peaks, and later on Viva Laughlin and Shark, was recruited to play Henry Spivey’s wife, Angie.  We also know that Alfre Woodard will be adding some spunk into the mix as she plays the intelligent and tough Mavis Heller, Edward’s boss who governs Janus Headquarters.

More recently, EW announced that the newest additions to My Own Worst Enemy include James Cromwell, who will be playing the leader of the organization that’s trying to mess around with Edward/Henry.
