NBC’s
My Own Worst Enemy started off sluggishly, gaining mixed reviews from several TV critics. Oddly enough, audiences decided to stick with it. In fact, even our BuddyTV readers believe that it should be given more than just a second chance. Most of our reader comments revolve around following the series and seeing what other tricks it may reveal in the coming episodes.
“’My Own Worst Enemy’ isn’t that bad. It isn’t that good right now either,” If Magazine said in their review. “But [last week’s episode, “Hello Henry”] was a definite improvement over the let’s throw every plotline we have for the season into one episode and see what sticks.”
“
Enemy did get some positive reviews — and by default, it's unquestionably the most watchable of NBC's new shows — and it's the kind of show that will find its loyalists,” Matt Roush of TV Guide recently commented.
Entertainment Weekly said in their succeeding reviews, “
My Own Worst Enemy is also the freshest, most exciting, and definitely most daring new show on television.”
Meanwhile, enthusiasts have to wait for next week to see the next installment of
My Own Worst Enemy, in which Mary Grady will finally find out the real identity of Tom, the boy whom she believed was her real son.
“That Is Not My Son” will also see Edward’s efforts in getting Raymond out of captivity. Meanwhile, Henry suddenly wakes up to find himself in the middle of gunfire! As Henry tries to find out what’s happening, he calls Mavis for help and tells her his whereabouts and his identity as well. More trouble brews as fellow operative Paula, who is portrayed by Michelle Krusiec, accidentally overhears the call and finds out Henry’s identity. This leaves Henry’s fate in Paula’s hands.
Additionally, the relationship between Edward and Dr. Norah Skinner will finally be revealed on next week’s
My Own Worst Enemy. Check out the preview clip below to get you ready for “That is Not My Son.”
Catch the next episode of
My Own Worst Enemy on November 10, at 10pm on NBC.
