Born on November 19, 1977 in Albany, New York, Reid Scott graduated from Syracuse University and is not only an actor/writer but also a musician (Scott plays the piano and the guitar). When he moved to New York, his career started off smoothly, having landed a role on the popular soap All My Children and performing in the Broadway play Cargo. He also appeared in several television commercials early on in his career. He has also expressed a desire to expand his interests, this time into the field of directing.
Reid Scott’s work on film and television was noted when he moved to the west coast, appearing on a Fox pilot titled With You In Spirit. His character, Ben Fisher, was one based on the show’s creator, Steve Levitan. In 2002, Scott was given a small role on That ‘70s Show, playing Ted on the episode “Over the Hills and Far Away.” The next year, he found himself with the cast of the sitcom What I Like About You as well as playing the character Bobby O’Neil in several episodes of It’s All Relative. He later got a part on the TV drama, Revenge of the Middle-Aged Woman, starring Christine Lahti. In 2005, Scott was cast on CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and has also appeared on CSI: NY. He became known for his role in the primetime hit American Dreams, where he played Brian. Before landing a guest spot on the series Bones, he worked on the comedy Bickford Schmekler’s Cool Ideas in 2006. That year, he joined the cast of the TBS comedy series My Boys, taking on the role of the DJ Brendan Dorff. In 2008, Scott was chosen to act on an episode of Unhitched, and has also worked on the thriller Amusement. Reid Scott is an expert downhill skier as well, even racing on several charity races, including the American Airlines Celebrity Ski for Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. He is also known for being the former producer of LA-based band, Get Licious.
