On tonight's season finale of My Boys - "Spring Training" the gang heads to Arizona for spring training while PJ (Jordana Spiro), who's a sports columnist but you all know that, looks for something unique and fresh to write about in her column. And as finales go, Spiro says this one is right up there with the suspense.
"Every season My Boys leaves us with a pretty solid cliffhanger and this season finale is far and away my favorite one," she tells E! Online. As her character is now a columnist, she adds that she can't figure out what she's going to write because she feels that everything she comes up with is "hack" and "cliché."
"She starts going around to all these random people at the stadium trying to find a human interest story. The way we shot it was the camera operator and I went around with a video camera, stopped people at the stadium, and just started interviewing them as though I was PJ. That was fun, I've never gotten to do that guerilla style filmmaking before."
Her career aside, Spiro hints that a pregnancy or an engagement is not an all-out crazy idea in terms of her character's relationship with Bobby (Kyle Howard), whom, if we remember, was the subject of last season's finale.
"I hope [their relationship] does [progress] because it opens up a whole new ball game of issues. I would love to see them move in together . They would have to rework their whole system with their friends. I would love to see how sharing a space becomes problematic and what gets on their nerves. I don't know if it's going to happen. Hopefully we get another season to explore that."
Catch the season finale of
My Boys tonight.
