Apparently, his long list of roles on soaps aren't enough to help former Calvin Klein model Antonio Sabato, Jr. snag a woman. Now, the General Hospital hunk is enlisting the help of VH1 to help him in his quest to find that real-life leading lady.

My Antonio, set to premiere August 16, follows Sabato as he tries to pick from 13 beautiful ladies. But before you think My Antonio is just your run-of-the-mill romantic reality show, think again. The 10-episode VH1 series will be shot like a soap opera, featuring Sabato's narration as he puts the contestants through various challenges, such as recreating a steamy love scene or skydiving in a gown.

But just like any soap opera, My Antonio also offers a shocking plot twist, when Antonio's ex-wife shows up and pleads for him to take her back. Clearly, this is too much for the 37-year-old Italian born hunk to handle, so his scrutinizing mother also enters the picture to help her son.

VH1 programming/production exec VP Jeff Olde previously said that Sabato is "the fantasy man for many of our viewers, and now that fantasy can become a reality."

For his part, Sabato said he is definitely "ready to settle down" considering his age. His other screen credits include Melrose Place, Charmed, The Bold and the Beautiful, Ghost Voyage, and an episode of Ugly Betty.

He was born in Rome, Italy, and moved to the US when he was 12. He was married to Alicia Tully Jensen from 1992 to 1993, after dating Nicolette Scorsese in the 1980s. He has two children, a son, Jack Antonio, 15, with actress Virginia Madsen, and a daughter, Mina Bree, 7, with his then girlfriend Kristin Rossetti.
