Ever since
Moonlight premiered this fall, much hype has been generated with the undeniable chemistry between vampire-private investigator Mick St. John (
Alex O'Loughlin) and internet reporter Beth Turner (
Sophia Myles). Delighted supporters of the supernatural series have also been vocal about their sentiments on these two main characters, as evident on various online forums and message boards. In line with the ongoing commotion, Myles and O'Loughlin have revealed their own sentiments about their characters and the future storylines they might tap on.
At present, Beth's storylines are centered on her work at Buzzwire News as an investigative reporter, going to crime scenes and teaming up with Mick. But as
Moonlight progresses, Myles says that she's open to the idea that her character might eventually become a vampire.

“I'm absolutely positive that might happen. I don't know, but I'm sure. As long as it doesn't involve lots of prosthetics and I don't have to spend hours in make-up, then it's fine. I'm sure, at some point, she's going to get turned, but who knows? Our vampire rules are slightly different. Garlic doesn't affect them, and they can go out in the sun. There are some changes,” Myles told

As for O'Loughlin, who is a fan of the vampire genre, he has high ambitions for the show and would like to see his character evolve.
“He's undead. He can't get any older, but he can't get any younger either. I'd like to think the show has at least two or three years of really solid storylines. But, when this story does come to an end, because of the nature of it and the nature of the characters, I think it has to come to a definitive end. I have absolutely no idea what will happen, though. The reality for this is that the only limits to the storytelling, in this genre and this show, are the limits of our own imaginations,” he said.
