Moonlight: Spoilers for Episode 15 "What's Left Behind"

Last week on Moonlight, Beth received an e-mail from a photographer containing the photos of Mick (Alex O'Loughlin) being hit by the car and walking away.  The photographer tried to blackmail her, telling her if she doesn't make sure he gets all of Buzzwire's exclusives from now on, he'll stalk and expose Mick.  Fearing that Mick would leave town once exposed, Beth (Sophia Myles) asked Josef (Jason Dohring) to “handle it,” reasoning that Mick has protected her and saved her many times and she's just returning the favor. Although Josef already took care of the photographer, copies of the photos of Mick being hit by the car had already been sent to ADA Talbot (Eric Winter).

This week, paranormal romance continues in Moonlight's penultimate episode called “What's Left Behind.”  Read on for spoilers.

The 14th episode of Moonlight deals with the kidnapping of a little girl, just as Beth was abducted as a child.  Jess Fordham, the 6-year-old child, has apparently been hearing noises and having nightmares before she was taken.  As expected, her family thinks that it was just the typical “fear of the dark thing” that happens with many children.

The vampire circuit seems to be bothered by the child's disappearance and Josef, who has a lot of airtime in this installment, seems to know members of the little girl's family.  He investigates her kidnapping with a woman named Sally.  They search for papers at the crime scene but it looks like the papers are also missing.

Seeing that the kidnapping of a child reflects Beth's past experience, Coraline (Shannyn Sossamon) returns in this episode.  She spends time at an archive, researching blueprints and photos from a specific crime scene.

Meanwhile, a case brings Mick back to his old neighborhood.  Flashbacks set in the 1940s features him during his time as a soldier before he was turned into a vampire.  Later, he is forced to face secrets from his past (including his son) when the grandson of his childhood friend is kidnapped.

“What's Left Behind” airs on Friday at 9pm on CBS.
