Tonight,
Monk's sixth season resumes with an episode called "Mr. Monk Joins a Cult," and who better to guest star in a series about an obsessive-compulsive private investigator than
Deal or No Deal host
Howie Mandel, who, funnily enough, suffers from OCD in real life.
For those who want to find out more about
Monk's midseason premiere, read on for a preview and some mild spoilers.

As suggested by the episode title, Monk (
Tony Shalhoub) goes undercover and investigates a cult in relation to the murder of one of its former members. Mandel plays the cult's friendly and hypnotic leader, who becomes the chief suspect in the murder.
Monk's gullibility gets the best of him, however, and in the process of investigating Mandel's character, the cult and the compound, gets sucked into the lifestyle. Not to worry though, because Natalie (
Traylor Howard), Leland (
Ted Levine) and Dr. Kroger (Stanley Kamel) do everything they can to bring Monk back to reality.
"Mr. Monk Joins a Cult" will also touch a little a bit on the Trudy storyline. For those who are unfamiliar with Trudy, she was the woman who was killed in a car bomb made by Warrick Tennyson for a six-fingered male. She also happened to be Monk's wife, which is why he has spent the past years looking for the man responsible for Trudy's death.
The second half of
Monk's second season consists of six brand-new episodes. Apart from Mandel, viewers can also look forward to several other guest stars this year, including Dan Castellaneta (
The Simpsons), Victoria Tennant (
Scrubs), Eve Gordon (
Grey's Anatomy, Felicity),
Cathy Cahlin Ryan (
The Shield), Jonathan Chase (
Veronica Mars)
Peter Stormare (
Prison Break) and Scott Glenn (
The Bourne Ultimatum).
Monk fans can also check out the new features on the show's official website. Visitors can ask Lt. Randy Disher (
Jason Gray-Stanford) “everyday guy questions” and watch his answers in the new “Ask Disher” video feature. Additionally, visitors can create their own
Monk video promo, as well as find out if they have the skills to become Monk's assistant by taking the "Monk Profiler" quiz.
Tune in to
Monk's midseason premiere, airing at 9/8c on USA Network.
