Each episode of Million Dollar Listing exhibits a real estate listing from Hollywood and Malibu and begins by exploring the selling process, moving forward until the closing of the deal. An interesting feature of the show is the display of the ups and downs of a number of California homes as they go up for sale. And as apart of the plot, the show also displays a range of stories behind the personal reasons of selling the houses.
