Kathy Bates is going from the fictional world of New Orleans on  American Horror Story: Coven to the glorious city of Chicago on the comedy, Mike & Molly.

The change in scenery won't be nearly as shocking as the shift from playing the old, bigoted beheaded Delphine to Bates' upcoming guest starring role of Kay McKinnon, a well-traveled, worldly photographer.

Kay also happens to be Peggy Biggs' (Rondi Reed) best friend from high school. When Molly (Melissa McCarthy) and Kay get along exceedingly well,  Peggy accuses Molly of stealing her best friend.

The pairing of McCarthy and Bates should be hilarious.

Are you excited to see Kathy Bates show up on Mike & Molly? Prepared yourself for lots of laughs!

Mike & Molly airs Mondays at 9 pm ET on CBS.
