The second season of MTV's brilliant
Teen Wolf is getting a few
new faces. The show, which tragically won't return until the summer, has
four new characters on tap to make the fur fly even more.
According to TVGuide,
Battlestar Galactica's Michael Hogan (Colonel Tigh) will arrive as Allison's werewolf hunting grandpa.
There will also be two new male students at the high school to heat things up. Stephen Lunsford, who played Dink on
Private Practice, will play a photography enthusiast who sets his sights on Allison and Daniel Sharman (
The Nine Lives of Chloe King) will play Isaac, a lacrosse player who Derek, the new Alpha Werewolf, will target as his next pack member. Fun fact:
Teen Wolf star Colton Haynes also guest starred on ABC Family's
The Nine Lives of Chloe King.
UPDATE: In addition, Isaac's dad will be played by John Wesley Shipp, who played Dawson's father on
Dawson's Creek. He will be the owner of the local cemetery and won't be too happy that his son is getting involved with Derek's pack.
The fourth new cast addition will be a mysterious woman, though the role has yet to be cast.
The first season of
Teen Wolf was a surprise hit. I was prepared to love it as a soap, trashy guilty pleasure, but the surprising truth is that the writing and acting are genuinely great and Teen Wolf became one of the most fun shows to watch in 2011.
Will Scott be able to stay with Allison given the increasing number of people destined to try and come between them? Will Derek turn completely evil now that he's the new Alpha? Will Stiles and Lydia become the hottest couple in school? Will the veterinarian finally get a name?
Find out the answers to these questions and more when
Teen Wolf returns to MTV this summer.
