There's no doubt TLC's reality series, Miami Ink
, helped to boost the popularity of Ami James
and Chris Nunez
's tattoo shop, Love/Hate Tattoo, and now, the boys are in the process of expanding their business, with Nunez announcing in his MySpace that they are opening shops in two new prime locations.
“We are proud to announce that we're in the process of working on two new Love/Hate Tattoo shops,” Nunez posted on his MySpace blog. “One located in Vegas and one in New York.”
The Miami branch, which is located on 1344 Washington Avenue, is the setting of James and Nunez's reality show, Miami Ink
, which has earned strong and steady ratings since its debut in July 2005. In an interview with MTV Canada late last month, Chris Nunez confirmed that a fourth season of the hit reality series is set to premiere sometime in June.
“We have pretty much all the episodes that are about to air again. They're going to start in June,” the Miami Ink
star said. “There is new stuff.”
Chris Nunez also talked about his and Ami James' other business venture, the Love/Hate Lounge, located in Miami as well and a project they're also looking to expand.
“Basically, what we did was we opened a place that would be like a clubhouse for us, a place where we would want to hang out at,” he said, adding that the bar features “a lot of our artwork and tattoo design. [It has] tin ceilings [and] kind of brings the North to the South. Our place is really lax. The only reason why we have restraints is because we have a really small venue, so we fill up every night, and that's the reason why we have a line.”
Nunez' success in the realms of entertainment and business has made him quite popular with the public in general, and for that, he is grateful.
“Thank you for all of your support and your continual interest in me,” he said. “I wish everyone the best this New Year and look forward to seeing you out there.”
