Born on April 6, 1972 in Israel, Ami James first started tattooing at home. Eventually, he became an apprentice and then worked his way up as a professional tattoo artist. Previously, he served in the Israeli Special Forces. He also co-owns a clothing design company called Deville USA.
As the co-owner of
Miami Ink, Ami James proves that he has what it takes to become a leader. His professionalism and fervor for his craft is certainly evident in his extremely satisfied customers. Despite being hot tempered and being on top of things most of the time, James still knows how to have fun with his comrades. His ingenious art schemes are one of the elements of the show that gets the viewers hooked.
