Men in Trees star, Anne Heche, voices Lois Lane in DC Universe's just-released Superman Doomsday.  The animated feature is the maiden offering of DC's new line of direct to video animation.

Superman Doomsday hit video store shelves on Tuesday, September 18.  The film is based on the history-making graphic novel, The Death of Superman, which came out in 1993.  It features the vocal talents of a powerful cast including Firefly's Adam Baldwin, Angel and Buffy the Vampire Slayer's James Marsters and Men in Trees' Anne Heche.

Adam Baldwin effectively voices the Man of Steel while former vampire, Marsters, gives life to Superman's arch-nemesis, Lex Luthor.  Anne Heche delivers as Clark Kent's colleague and one-time love interest, Lois Lane.

Superman Doomsday brings to the big screen one of the most significant story arcs in the comic book world.  It showcases Superman's valiant fight against the unstoppable and invincible intergalactic killing machine, Doomsday.  When even the Justice League proves powerless against their much more potent foe, the Man of Steel is forced to stand up to Doomsday alone.  In the end, the man from Krypton manages a final, sacrificial onslaught to save Metropolis from certain death.

Superman Doomsday is produced by DC Universe's Bruce Timm for Warner Bros. Animation.  It is presented by DC Comics and released through Warner Premiere and Warner Home Video.  The DVD includes the documentary “Requiem and Rebirth: Superman Lives!”  The featurette takes a comprehensive look at the development process behind the Death of Superman storyline that spanned a total of four books.

Aside from “Requiem and Rebirth: Superman Lives,” Superman Doomsday also features a special preview of the next straight-to-video animated film, Justice League: The New Frontier. There is a also a short segment on the voice talents, including Men in Trees' Anne Heche, as well as audio commentaries from producer Timm, writer Duane Capizzi, voice director Andrea Romano and executive producer Gregory Noveck.
