Men in Trees has been in hiatus since January as one of the many scripted series affected by the Writers Guild of America strike.  But now, the show is back on the air and is equipped with 11 new episodes, starting off with “Charity Case” which aired last Wednesday. Talking about the second season of the romantic dramedy is show creator Jenny Bicks, who also reveals what's in store for Patrick, Cash, Buzz, Pastor Eric, and of course, Jack and Marin.

Previously on Men in Trees, Jack's ship has gone down in the Bering Sea and Marin is in Elmo not knowing that he has been shipwrecked.  While Jack is away, she gets an unexpected visitor, Cash, who re-enters her life in a big way and drops a very shocking secret.  As for the rest of the characters, Patrick has been hit in the head and has amnesia, while Pastor Eric and Sara take a step forward in their relationship.

In tonight's episode of Men in Trees called "Sonata in Three Parts," the town of Elmo hopes for the best when they discover that Jack's life may be in danger.  Determined to stay positive, a hopeful Marin focuses her energy on helping Cash through his illness.

According to Bicks, Cash is going to be the focus of Marin's attention even more.

“That's going to cause some issues with some other men in Marin's life and so Cash will certainly be around, as will Terry,” she said.

Patrick's storyline, on the other hand will focus on exploring who he is separate from Annie, which is “basically tearing them apart.”

“He's really got to figure out how he really feels and what his heart really feels and it's going to take him actually on a journey.  He's actually going to go to New York where he will be working for Jane for a couple of episodes and he's going to be kind of traveling the world to find himself.  And whether or not he ends up back with Annie is a question mark because Annie is going to be pulled in a different direction when Ben hires a new hockey player named Ivan to come play for his team and Ivan is this kind of Croatian hottie who kind of wins Annie's heart so it really becomes about what happens,” she said.

Other spoilers expected to happen in the coming episodes revolve around Pastor Patrick who is going to be singing, Buzz who has a very big gambling problem that's going to cause problems in his marriage, and Mai who is going to move in with Celia.
