Are we in for a battle of old and the new? Or is it just some move to spruce up the ratings?
It certainly seems that way, as Melrose Place welcomes an old resident Heather Locklear and on a very promising role, too, as she becomes the boss of her reincarnate Ella Simms' (Katie Cassidy) boss at the PR firm. Does a battle of two generations of bad girls seem to be in the offing? It certainly looks that way.
As if that's not enough to satiate our appetite, Cassidy previously hinted that there should be some workplace showdowns on
Melrose Place if Locklear indeed returns. Now that it's official, perhaps we can take Cassidy's word for it.
Locklear, now 47, played scheming advertising executive and fan favorite Amanda Woodward on the old beloved
Melrose Place in the 90s. She will reportedly appear in the show's November 17 episode.
Maybe this will prep up the ratings and have old viewers watch? That is yet to be seen, but last week reeled in a meager 1.8 million viewers, around 20 percent lower from its September 8 debut.
