'Medium' Actor Appears in Upcoming Horror Flick

Jake Weber stars in MediumMedium star Jake Weber has another title to add to his list of projects under the supernatural genre.

Next year, the 43-year-old British actor is appearing in the independent horror flick entitled She Lived.  The film revolves around a 17-year-old girl named who thinks she is suffering from a mental illness similar to her mother's, that is, until she discovers the terrifying truth about her destiny.

Aside from Jake Weber, who will appear as Roger Heartley, She Lived also stars Haley Bennett as Molly, Chace Crawford (Gossip Girl) as Joseph, Shanna Collins (Wildfire, Veronica Mars) as Alexis, Shannon Marie Woodward (The Riches, Psych) as Leah, Marin Hinkle (Two and a Half Men) as Jane Heartley and Annalyne McCord (Nip/Tuck, Greek) as Suzie.

She Lived serves as Mickey Liddell's directorial debut.  The screenplay was first written by John Travis (The New Daughter), but was later revised by Rebecca Sonnenshine (American Zombie, Within) and C Jay Cox (Sweet Home Alabama).  Jennifer Hilton is credited as a producer, along with Liddell.

The film's exact release date has yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, Jake Weber, whose other movie credits include Meet Joe Black, The Cell and Dawn of the Dead, will be seen back on the small screen early next year, when NBC's Medium premieres its fourth season.

On Medium, Weber plays Joe Dubois, an aerospace engineer whose wife Allison (Patricia Arquette) uses her psychic abilities to help the district attorney's office in Phoenix, Arizona.

The series is based on the real-life experiences of self-proclaimed psychic Allison Dubois, who has collaborated with several law enforcement agencies throughout the country to assist in criminal investigations.

Medium
has received several awards since it premiered in 2005.  Most recently, Arquette earned another Golden Globe nomination for her work on the series.

Medium's fourth season premiere, which will feature Oscar winner Anjelica Huston as a guest star, will air on Monday, January 7.
