Ella Smith is a relative newcomer who has previously appeared on Holby City and Strictly Confidential, prior to landing the role of Jezebel Ogilvie on Meadowlands.

Jezebel Ogilvie, played by Ella Smith on Meadowlands, is the narcissistic, egoistic and shallow daughter of neighborhood gossip, Brenda Ogilvie. The twentysomething Jezebel is admittedly prejudiced against ugly people despite the fact that she herself is no beauty queen at two hundred pounds. Both she and her mother are oblivious to her body weight and Jezebel appears to be suffering from a reverse form of anorexia.
