FitzSimmons have been separated "for some reason again," Henstridge teased. It's a physical separation, but it may be a bit emotional as well, with the actress saying they're "back to square zero again. ... Square zero's like worse than square one."
As for Fitz, he feels "a lot of guilt about" what happened in the Framework, De Caestecker shared. "He also has to try to come to terms with the person that he was in that world is rooted in him somewhere." Because of who he was in the Framework, Henstridge wondered if Mack would even want him to be there for him (like Mack has been there for Fitz in the past), but De Caestecker pointed out that Mack was probably the one person in the Framework he didn't treat that badly.
Simmons is no stranger to space, so she can have some sassy moments of, "You see? I told you. You see what I had to go through all on my own?" Henstridge said. "It's obviously useful then because she has this different knowledge, too, psychologically how to deal with it."
Considering everything the team goes through, "the love that the agents have for each other as a team and as a family" plays a part in why they stay, according to Henstridge.Casting Bits: Orphan Black Actress Gets Outlander Role, Matt Ryan to Reprise Constantine Role and More>>>
