Bear Grylls

Bear Grylls Biography:

Bear Grylls has already achieved what many of us probably only dream about every day. He has many accomplishments to his name but it did not come without hard work and perseverance. When Grylls was serving in the Special Air Service of the British Army 1995, he injured his back gravely, yet just after two short years, he went back out, climbed Ama Dablam in the Himalayas and became the youngest British individual to climb the perilous mountain. After another two years, he ascended Mount Everest and garnered the same recognition for the tallest mountain in the world. In the following years, he would have set out on more expeditions, including a trip to the remote jungles of Angel Falls, Venezuela. In 2006, The Discovery Channel gave Grylls the opportunity to host the show Man vs. Wild.

On the show, Grylls finds locations where he feels people may often get lost or encounter danger. He then places himself in those locations and shows the audience what kinds of things they can do to ensure their survival. Grylls also teaches the audience how to navigate through a strange wilderness in order to get back to civilization.
