Ashley Parker Angel gained attention and fame for his exposure on MTV’s
Making the Band. His boyish looks, talent and enthusiasm evidently earned him a spot on the boy band O-Town, along with Erik-Michael Estrada, Trevor Penick, and Dan Miller. After the short-lived success of O-Town from two albums, he left the band to pursue a solo career. At present, he is preoccupied in theater works, Broadway productions and his singing career.

The author of this article forgot to mention the fifth not less worthful member of O-Town JACOB UNDERWOOD! ...
The former star of
Making the Band is currently playing the role of Link Larkin in
Hairspray on Broadway. He’ll be representing the role until October, along with Alexa Vega as Penny Pingleton and Shannon Durig as Tracy Turnblad.
Before he made his debut on stage, Ashley Parker Angel released his debut album called
Soundtrack to Your Life. His effort to embark on a solo career proved to be fruitful with his top charting singles and upbeat album sales. One of his singles was even featured in the 2006 FIFA World Cup video game. In line with this, he was able to perform opening acts for Ashlee Simpson and joined various tours with other artists.
After
Making the Band, he became visible again as the star of the MTV reality series
There and Back, which chronicled his life after the break-up of O-Town and his transition to a solo career. The show also featured his financial struggles, the production of his album, his relationship troubles and the birth of his first son.
Additionally, he appeared on several television shows like
The VIP, Live with Regis and Kathie Lee, and
Celebrity Cooking Showdown among others.
Whether he ventures into acting or singing, Ashley Parker Angel will always be remembered for his stint on MTV’s
Making the Band, which paved the way for O-Town and catapulted him to stardom.
