Can you picture Diddy playing a force of justice? Well imagine no more. The 39-year-old rapper, who is also known as Sean Combs in real life, has signed on to appear on
CSI: Miami, according to
The Insider. This is not the first time Diddy has forayed into acting as he recently garnered critical acclaim for his role in
A Raisin in the Sun, a TV movie made by the ABC Network. The rapper, who has said he is retiring from music to concentrate on his acting career, is slated to appear on two episodes of the forensic drama.
For his upcoming stint on
CSI: Miami, Diddy will be playing “a prosecutor who does not get along with police Lt. Horatio Caine, played by
David Caruso." CBS said that his episodes will probably air in mid to late winter. At present, fans can catch Diddy auditioning potential new assistants on
I Want To Work For Diddy and as the man of the house on MTV's
Making the Band.
Meanwhile, CBS brings fans another new episode of
CSI: Miami tonight. In the ninth episode of season 7 called “Power Trip,” Horatio is forced to interfere to stop a member of the police force from getting too close to the case after a savage killer runs loose in Miami.
“Power Trip,” which was written by Corey Evett and Matt Partney, and directed by Joe Chappelle, marks the debut of Shanna Collins on the forensic drama following her role on
Swingtown as Laurie Miller. It also features Jamie Thomas King, who is noted for his role as Thomas Wyatt on
The Tudors. Last but not the least, it also puts the spot light on Boti Bliss, who reprises her role as Maxine Valera.
Don't forget to catch “Power Trip” on
CSI: Miami tonight at 10pm on CBS.
