Red-headed cutie Jordan still lives with her folks in Arizona, where she is a student. She claims to lead a very boring life and that's she's not interested in partying and going out--though I bet participating on a reality TV Show in NYC will change that. I was totally loving Jordan, who has a look that is very current and edgy, until she said she wanted to be a model because she "just needs to do something with my thinness." Sorry Jordan, you totally lost me there and it's going to take a lot to get back in my good graces. Despite her banal answer, if this girl can take a photo and deliver a decent strut, we see Jordan being the Shannon of season 2.
Karen looks like she should be on
America's Next Top Model and not
Make Me A Supermodel. And apparently there are three of Karen walking around, because she is a triplet. Like every other contestant on a modeling show, Karen has "always wanted to model" and she describes modeling as her "happy place." Even in a three minute interview, Karen is filled with unintentionally hilarious quote. Regarding her weakness Karen says "she tries to be a perfectionalist," though she obviously doesn't succeed at it. Karen's interview was the weakest of all the finalists and I believe Karen will be the first girl to be sent home this season.
Ken is way too beefy to be a male model. He also appears to me more interested in his burgeoning music career than modeling. Unfortunately for him there isn't a Make Me A Rock Star show on Bravo yet. Ken says he wants to use Make Me a Supermodel to facilitate his music career, which surely won't sit well with the judges or audience. However, I do appreciate Ken's attitude about the show. When asked what he thought about winning
Make Me A Supermodel, Ken responded, "we're not talking about D-Day here, it's a modeling competition." True true Ken, now loose about 20 pounds of muscle and we can talk about you winning that modeling competition.
I love this girl. Kerryn, despite looking like she walked out of
last cycle's ANTM promo shot, has my favorite look of all the
Supermodel contenders. She has a face that could work for both commercial and high fashion clients. Kerryn claims to have been "classically trained as a model;" and while I'm not quite sure what this means, it conjures up study sessions with Janice Dickinson and posing like a Greek statue for hours on end. Classically trained or not, Kerryn is our favorite female contender so far.
