Niki Taylor, renowned supermodel who now serves as the host of Bravo's
Make Me A Supermodel competitive reality series, is expecting her first child with NASCAR driver husband Burney Lamar. A representative of the 33-year-old model informed
People magazine about the pregnancy yesterday although the couple has yet to pick out a name for the baby, who is due to be born in early March. The sex of the forthcoming baby hasn't been disclosed as well.
While this pregnancy is a first for husband Lamar, this will be Niki Taylor's third bundle of joy. Previously, she had twin boys, Jake and Hunter, from her first marriage to Arena football player Matt Martinez.
Taylor met Lemar during a NASCAR autograph session in 2006. In December that same year, after a four-month engagement, they tied the knot at the Grande Colonial Hotel in La Jolla, California and are presently residing in Brentwood, Tennessee.
"Burney and I are very excited with this stage of our lives," the host of
Make Me a Supermodel said in a statement, adding that she and Burney are "thrilled."
Meanwhile, Niki Taylor is set to reprise her hosting duties with male supermodel
Tyson Beckford on the second season of
Make Me A Supermodel in 2009. The program, which saw
Holly Kiser as the first season winner, revolves around the search for the world's next supermodel by seeking out beautiful and talented men and women who will live together in New York City while undergoing a series of creative challenges designed to test their professional modeling potential. In the end, the winner will receive a spread in
GQ Magazine, $100,000 and a modeling contract with New York Model Management. As reported previously, try outs for the sophomore season already started in July and continued through August in several cities, including Miami, Portland, and Nashville, just to name a few.
