Yesterday I had the pleasure of chatting with Amanda, the latest contestant to be eliminated from Make Me A Supermodel. Amanda and I discussed her tumultuous time on Make Me A Supermodel, how she didn't realize she was in a protracted battle with Jordan, on the strange coincidences and special bond she  shared with Jonathan and about what's next for her. Amanda also cleared the air about being naked around her infant son to prevent possible "gayness," a quote she has no recollection of saying.

On how she came to be on Make Me A Supermodel:

I saw that there was going to be an audition on the news, I was just sitting at home with my Mom. I hadn't modeled in a couple of years and I thought it was kind of over for me. My Mom said, "You should do it, just for fun." And thinking that there's no way, not a chance in hell that I'll ever get on the show, I auditioned and you know, look what happened!


On the Strange Connections that Bonded her and Jonathan:

Something that was really funny that wasn't actually aired was that his wife's name is Amanda, and obviously my name is Amanda. His name is Jonathan, and my son's Dad is named Jonathan.  And my son's name is Hunter and his son's middle name is Hunter. We connected so much, just on that.

On Her Edit and the whole Walking in Front of her Son Naked, so He Wouldn't Become Gay Comment:

I think that was the most stressful thing, honestly. Before every Wednesday, you wonder, what are they going to show? How are they going to portray me? I was actually talking to Sandhurst this morning and he was telling me that when he was watching the show that some things he was like "Oh, there's Amanda!" But other things he was like, "Where did they get that from?" And I feel the same way.

I know that some of the things I said, I mean Shaun is one of my best friends and on last night's show, they see me saying "I walk around naked in front of my son so he doesn't become gay." And I was like, what the hell?! I don't even remember saying that. But obviously, I mean, I was going to walk in the Gay Rights Parade with Shaun in Florida. So obviously, I'm completely for it. I love Shaun and I have nothing against homosexuality. And if my son was gay, I'd be completely fine. Saying things like that is completely not in my character.

On Jordan's Secret One-Sided Battle With Her:

The whole feud with Jordan, was kind of shocking. Because when the world is watching it, is when I was realizing it too, that she didn't like me. And everyone has been asking me, what did you do to Jordan to make you hate her so much? And I'm asking myself the same question. I don't know if it's editing or what, I have no idea. I saw her at the Bravo A-List Awards and I gave her a hug and we're completely fine, so I don't know. But I think that was the most shocking thing. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt. Obviously, they want as much drama as possible, they want as many people to watch the show. So there's a feud.

There was nothing that ever happened. Maybe I'm just really annoying and she didn't like me. She never really said anything in the house to me at least. I was just as shocked as the world was to see that she didn't like me. In the end though, I do remember in my interviews being asked about Jordan, and I just chose not to say anything bad about anybody.

On the Unfortunate Side Effects of Her Favorite Runway

I think my favorite runway was probably last night's runway, with the butterflies. It looked so cool and it felt so cool. But I felt bad for the butterflies, because they were dying. There were  two big bowls for the butterflies to go in, and after one person walked they had to take the bowl outside and get some air. Because our hot air was killing them. I felt so bad. If you look at my picture from the runway you can see all the butterflies, just kind of laying there at the bottom, I felt so bad.
